This is the Curious Egypt “about” page, and therefore is about the word “about”.  “About” was born in 1957 in a small town in the Western Sahara … nahh I jest, dear listeners … this is the “about” page for the Curious Egypt blog or will be when I can get around to think of something interesting to put here.  Until that time, lets just say it is written by someone who is particularly curious about all those little curiosities that one comes across when looking at the time of the Ancient Egyptians.  And my word, those Ancient Egyptians were a curious bunch, and no mistake.  Hawk headed gods, strange magical practices, very very large stone buildings built in such a way as to encorporate one of the most curious irrational numbers in the universe (or was it just something they just happened to accidentally incorporate into it and just didn’t realise? … yes I’m looking at you, you mainstream archaeologists!!), and carving certain animals into “ornamental palettes” which shall not be mentioned here … well not yet anyway (that is for another day).  Nevertheless to say, that one really is a doozie, an absolute world changer if ever I have seen one.

So take your multi-vitamins, and a sip of mountain dew and follow the journey of a curious fellow looking into the nooks and crannies of the ancient past just to see what pops up.
